This section applies to every application where the section Global>Audio qualities is present in the Setup.
Each application that import, edit, create or export audio items, can use the same predefined audio quality. Or use an alternative predefined audio quality with compressed audio when exporting podcasts, for example.
Defined audio qualities
List of audio qualities that are defined. Use the ADD, DELETE and COPY buttons to create, remove or duplicate a quality.
Audio quality properties
Name
Field to give the quality a distinctive name.
Description
Field for additional information about this quality.
Color
Dropdown selector to attach a color to this quality, used for quick identification in applications.
File format / container
Dropdown selector to define a file format. Available options:
[No change]= when the format don’t need conversion
PCM linear (.wav)
BWF linear (.wav)
BWF MPEG 1 Layer 2 (.wav) *
BWF MPEG 1 Layer 3 (.wav) *
RAW MPEG 1 Layer 2 (.mp2) *
RAW MPEG 1 Layer 3 (.mp3) *+
Dalet MPEG/MUSICAM (.snd) *
*= gives extra checkboxes to use Copyright or/and CRC
*= gives extra option to set the total bit rate
+= gives extra option to set Encoder quality
